WHO WE ARE
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting the children of Effingham County, Georgia, who have a need of food on the weekends. We are an entirely volunteer organization. We currently support children in 11 schools. Currently we serve: Effingham High School, South Effingham High School, Effingham Middle School, South Effingham Middle School, Ebenezer Middle School, Guyton Elementary, Rincon Elementary, Springfield Elementary, South Effingham Elementary, Sand Hill Elementary, and Blandford Elementary. We began as a group supported by several churches working together to make this program possible with funding. We are now partnered with nine churches (They are St. Luke’s Episcopal, Guyton Methodist Church, Encounter Church, Centerpoint Community Church, Goshen United Methodist Church, Springfield Oaks Church, Oak Grove Church of Christ, Silver Hill Church, and Countryside Baptist Church) and our community and generous donors.
WHAT WE DO
PACKING BAGS
Each Thursday morning during the school year, we meet and pack for the children. Each bag contains: white and chocolate milk, a juice, protein, canned vegetables and fruit, cereal, granola bars or other type of breakfast food, and snacks
TREATS FOR HOLIDAYS
We pack treat bags for each child for Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Easter.
STOCKINGS AT CHRISTMAS
Each year our church partners take stockings and fill them. Each child on our program is sent home with a stocking before Christmas.
"For I was hungry and you gave
me something to eat, I was thirsty
and you gave me something to drink"
Matthew 25:35
